A flooded silver prospect a short walk west of town, played out and given over to ash-hounds and the Silt Hands' quieter business.
When the silver still promised, someone drove a test-adit into the riverbank a short walk west of Valenfeld. The vein pinched out, the young Vellen seeped in, and the cut was left to the dark. Ash-hounds den in its flooded mouth now, and the Silt Hands keep a dry cache past the water — close enough to walk to that an outlander short on coin might risk it for a first taste of the deep, but tucked round the shoulder of the bank, out of sight of the gate.
