Ember Wraith

A Mender-built creature that haunts the Cindervault — half-visible, drawn to the artefacts left behind by the old empire.

It does not seek prey; it seeks the relics. A carried Imperial artefact is a beacon to it. Near the Cindervault it is almost constant. In the outer vault halls it flickers between physical and non-physical; in the apse near the sealed door it is fully real and very dangerous. What it was meant to do or guard, no one living knows.
